Honda CG125 Maintenance Specs

Spark plug Gap : 0.8 mm - 0.9 mm

Note : To correctly install a new spark plug, start by hand-tightening it into position. Next, use a spark plug wrench to turn it half a rotation clockwise. After this initial tightening, gently loosen the plug before carefully turning it clockwise again, this time by 1/8 or approximately 45°. This final adjustment ensures that the spark plug gasket is properly compressed, providing a tight and secure seal within the cylinder head.


Warning : The torque values provided are tailored for the Honda CG125 spark plug. To determine the precise torque specifications for your motorcycle's spark plug, it's advisable to consult the owner's manual for accurate information.

Clutch lever FreePlay : 10 mm - 20 mm

Front Brake Lever FreePlay  : 10 mm - 20 mm

Rear Brake Lever FreePlay  : 20 mm - 30 mm

Chain Slack : 10 mm - 20 mm

Valve Clearance : 0.08 mm ( inlet ) - 0.08 mm ( exhaust )

Note: Adjust Valve clearance on cold engine

Engine idle speed : 1400 Rpm ± 100 Rpm

Engine oil  : 1 liter

Recommended oil viscosity : 20w - 40

Recommended Engine oil API Standard: API SG, MA

Oil Change Interval : 2000 km or earlier ( depends on riding conditions and engine oil type )

Clean Air filter Every : 2000km

Note :

To clean your air filter effectively, start by soaking it in a solution of water mixed with dishwashing gel. Carefully scrub the filter by hand to remove any dirt and debris, ensuring thorough cleaning. Once it appears clean, rinse the filter thoroughly with clean water to remove any soap residue. After rinsing, use a clean towel to pat the air filter dry and then allow it to air dry completely.

Once the air filter is fully dry, apply 6 to 8 milliliters of gear oil evenly onto the surface of the filter, making sure to distribute it evenly. Finally, reinstall the air filter into the air filter box, ensuring it is securely seated and properly secured. Following these steps will help maintain the efficiency and performance of your motorcycle's air filter.

Recommended Gear oil for air filter : SAE 80-90
Gear Oil Quantity : 6 - 8 ml

Lubricate Chain With : SAW 90 oil

Chain Lubrication Interval : 500 km or less

Front Axle nut Torque Specs : 4.0 - 5.0 kgf.m( 29.00 - 36 Foot Pound )

Rear Axle nut Torque Specs : 4.0 - 5.0 kgf.m( 29.00 - 36 Foot Pound )

Sprocket Carrier Nut Torque Specs : 3.5 - 4.5 k.gf.m( 25.31 - 32.54 Foot Pound )

Front Tyre Pressure : 25 Psi for only rider , 25 Psi with Rider

+ Passenger

Rear Tyre Pressure : 29 Psi For only rider , 40 Psi with Rider

+ Passenger
